Rotating Nuts

+ Differential Roller Screws
+ Ballscrews
 + Internal Recirculation
 + High Speed Line
FAQ

Design concept

  • Fixed screw
  • Nut driven through timing belt and traveling motor

Advantages

  • Screw can be fixed in both ends and easily pre-tensioned
  • Better overall rigidness
  • Higher critical speed
  • Higher linear speeds
  • Better thermal behavior (forced cooling is simplified)
  • These advantages become more pronounced in screws with a greater length / diameter ratio (> 50:1).

Disadvantages

  • Complicated feeding of lubricant through the nut
  • Increased moving mass (motor travels with slide)
  • Power chains needed
